The Vashon Community Van program, jointly operated by King County Metro and the Vashon-Maury Island Chamber of Commerce, provides a shared vehicle resource that can accommodate groups of up to 12 people. The van is available for community trips of all kinds and offers a flexible, low-cost transportation option for local organizations and residents. Getting started is simple: find an approved driver or complete the process to become one. After that, you can submit a reservation request and the Chamber team will work with you to schedule your trip.

• A flexible way to share the ride to local destinations, for the cost of a one-way Metro bus ticket. (Trips are free for the driver.)

• Use the van to attend events, go on hikes/recreational activities, run errands, get to appointments, and more.

• Gas, insurance, road & bridge tolls are included.

• Use anytime day or night (no overnights) within a 2-hr driving radius

• Priority loading and free fare for Van and driver at some ferry terminals
