There's fun for every age at the Vashon Strawberry Festival! Listed below are the activities geared toward kids, youth, and families. Whether you're bringing little ones, teens, or the whole family, you'll find plenty to see, do, and enjoy all weekend long!

Friday, July 17th

4 pm: The Reptile Man (FREE)

  • Festival Main Stage, Ober Park

  • Snakes, alligators and more, oh my! Zoologist, educator, and author, Scott Petersen, presents a collection of live reptiles that teaches the importance of all animals in nature. Scott has been featured nationally on Disney's Bill Nye the Science Guy and on PBS' Biz Kids. )

6 - 8 pm: Vashon Heritage Museurm’s Ice Cream Social (FREE)

  • Vashon Heritage Museum's Back Lawn

  • Grab your picnic blankets and head to the annual Vashon Heritage Museum Ice Cream Social! There will be live music by the Lazy Dog String Band and plenty of crafts and activities for the whole family.

  • Presented by The Coop, a community music venue, creative hub, and gathering space that supports local arts, music, and culture. Dedicated to artists and creators of all ages, The Coop fosters collaboration, creativity, and community through performances, programs, and events. 

Saturday, July 18th

10 am: Kids Parade (FREE)

  • 9am line up at Chevron, parade begins 10am

  • The Kids Parade is one of Strawberry Festival's most beloved traditions. Before the main parade begins, Vashon's youngest neighbors lead the way—dressed in costumes, riding decorated bikes, wagons, scooters, and whatever fun creations they dream up. It's creative, joyful, and wonderfully Vashon.

10 am - 6 pm: Baseball & Softball Speed Pitch (All-day pass; $5, ages 5 & under for free)

  • Camp Colvos Brewery

  • Throw your hardest & test your speed, with prizes for the fastest pitches!

  • Fun for all ages, brought to you by Vashon Youth Baseball & Softball

10 am - 6 pm: Strawberry Festival Train (FREE)

  • Train Stops: US Bank parking lot (Bank Rd & Vashon Highway) & Chamber Parking lot (across from Ober Park)

  • All aboard! Ride our colorful Strawberry Festival train as it “chugs” up and down the highway, connecting two convenient loading stations. It's a fun, easy way to get around—and adds that classic carnival feeling everyone loves!

10 am - 6 pm: DIY Kids Games (FREE)

  • Island Queen drive through

10am - 6 pm: Bouncy Houses ($)

  • Ober Park Playground

10 am - 6 pm: Bubble Soccer  ($)

  • Ober Park large field (check in at Bouncy Houses)

10 am - 6 pm: Bungee Jumping ($)

12 - 5 pm: Lego at Library (FREE)

  • Vashon Library

  • Discover amazing LEGO creations by local builders, including custom-designed creations, LEGO Technic machines in motion, a giant LEGO model train layout, and a massive 4' × 8' LEGO map of Vashon that you can help build! Plus, enjoy hands-on fun in the LEGO play area.

Sunday, July 19th
