Thank you for your interest in Vashon Strawberry Festival! We look forward to welcoming some 25,000 guests to the event in 2024, to be held July 19 - 21st.

Vendor applications are open until May 15, 2024. Please read the following information carefully, and click here to apply.

This year we once again invite both Vashon and off-Island vendors to participate, carefully selected to keep our local spirit alive while also keeping Festival fresh and diverse.

Please read the following information carefully before completing the application form. All applications are due no later than May 15, 2024. Applications will close early if the Festival sells out!

The Vashon Island Chamber of Commerce is proud to produce an event that showcases the best of what Vashon has to offer, while also inviting Islanders to enjoy goods and services typically not available on Vashon.

Each year we welcome some 25,000 visitors for the weekend. We believe that the variety and quality of vendors at the event are as much a part of making festival a vibrant experience as musical performances and the parade. We hope Islanders and visitors will find something special over the course of the weekend to take home in addition to cherished memories and connection to community, whether it’s a new favorite cuisine or piece of hand-made art.

Strawberry Festival vendor applications are open to all, though invitation to participate will be evaluated carefully on the following criteria:

• Connection to Vashon Island. Space will first be made available for island-based businesses. Political organizations and nonprofits must have a sponsoring entity or individual living or based on Vashon.
• Preference will be given to off-island vendors providing goods or services not already available on Vashon and not offered by Vashon vendors.
• Preference may be given to vendors offering locally sourced, hand-made, and/or sustainably made goods.
• Nonprofit organizations must be a registered 501c in good standing to receive discounts.

Acceptance to the Festival will be on a rolling basis. Notification of acceptance will be given no later than June 1, 2024. All required post-acceptance paperwork MUST be received by June 15, 2024, or the acceptance will be rescinded:
• Business license or 501c certification
• Certificate of Additional Insurance
Signed Vendor Agreement and Code of Conduct
• Payment in Full

*To qualify at the Chamber Member rate, all dues must be current through July 2024, or on autopay.

vendor load in/out information 2024

Below please find vendor load in times and Festival hours. Vehicle passes will be sent to the email address listed when you applied as a vendor. If you are not that person, please locate that person in your business or organization, and coordinate with them.

LOAD-IN AND BOOTH SET-UP

• ALL set up / load-in of tents/booths along Vashon Highway will start and should completed, if possible, on Friday, July 19th. Vehicle load-in window begins at 5pm on Friday, July 19th, and ends at 8pm. You may choose to bring any valuable items Saturday morning. Walk-in load in is open Saturday, July 20th from 6am – 8am. Please be exceptionally careful loading in, and limit vehicle traffic as much as possible. We do expect many pedestrians in the street on Friday night.

• There is no opportunity for vehicle load-out on Saturday night. Cars and people don’t mix! Vehicle access for load out on Sunday, July 21st begins no earlier than 4pm and concludes at 5pm. There is a strict, one-hour limit for load-out time. If, after that, your vehicle is on the street and blocking traffic access, you will not be asked to return to Festival in subsequent years.

STREET CLOSURES

Vashon Highway will be closed southbound at 171st (last detour at Gorsuch Rd), and northbound at 178th

Bank Rd will be closed westbound near 97th Pl SW, and eastbound at 100th Ave SW

Please note your location and plan to enter to load in heading either northbound or southbound in the lane that corresponds to your booth’s side of the street. Do not plan to try and turn across traffic lanes when entering or exiting for load in and load out.
